Boca Chica Shrimp: A Spoonful of Thyme

I was completely intrigued by the name of this dish and had to read through the list of ingredients and the story as if it were a mystery novel. The name comes from a beach in the Dominican Republic. Quite frankly, I’m wanting to sit on a beach with a big bowl of it right now as the mystery novel is unfolding and my mouth is drooling. Ms. T from A Spoonful of Thyme received Josie’s Kitchen by Josie for the SRC assignment this month. As Mr. T looked through the recipes on Josie’s blog along with Ms. T, they both came to the same decision. Shrimp! Josie’s aunt sent her a recipe book from her homeland in Santo Domingo featuring creole recipes, of her native country. Ms. T says . . .
“We love creole food and this recipe appeared to be a quick and easy one. It was: Thirty minutes to dinner! Mr. T. and I love creole food and so we added a small onion and 2 celery stalks…along with some Zatarain’s seasoning to give it a kick!”
