I’ll admit. This dish is something I have never heard of, much less ever eaten. And yet, I’m completely drawn into the recipe and imagining how wonderful all these flavors must be together! Oh, so, delicious! Chris from over at The Keenan Cookbook received Sawsen’s blog, Chef in Disguise, for her SRC assignment this month. Chris said . . .
“It was a super easy recipe to make, and we had all of the ingredients in our fridge/pantry all ready. We marinated the chicken in the morning and I grilled everything up for dinner. I was lazy (i.e. wrestling a 2 1/2 and 1 year old) so did not skewer the chicken. Instead I used a grilling pan which made life even easier. We served over some Japanese rice with some grilled carrots. Dinner was good! The flavors were different enough from what we usually eat, but not so different we had to buy new ingredients we’d never use again (or might not like). So – if you are looking for a new dinner recipe we recommend Shish Tawook Chicken.”
