Thyme & Mixed Berry Tom Collins: Farmgirl Gourmet

Heather is the farm girl over at Farmgirl Gourmet.  She has a great hubby, two fabulous kids, and when she started her blog in 2006, she lived on twenty acres in Washington state spending a lot of her time developing recipes in her 100 year old farm house kitchen.  Now she still develops recipes, remodels a 1912 Craftsman home and does a little organic gardening.  Her SRC assignment this month was Carrie from Bakeaholic Mama.  I think her blog title tells you a lot about Carrie.  What it doesn’t tell you is that she married her high school sweetheart, has three kids, a dog named Ollie and a dingo pup.  She is a really fun gal and you just have to visit her blog and see those kids of hers!  Heather says . . .

“Not only do I love her to bits, but she has some pretty amazing deliciousness going on in her section of the food blogosphere.  You owe it to your eyeballs (and stomach) to pay her a visit.  Choosing one recipe was tough!! I mean, really tough!  But, being as it’s hot and I am refraining from turning on the oven at all costs, I went with a nice icy cold cocktail.  I started by heading to the garden to fresh pick some berries and thyme.”
